Scholarship Description:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), invites application from international students interested in studying in Mexico to participate in the Scholarships of Excellence of the Government of Mexico for Foreigners 2022.

The Government of Mexico Excellence Scholarships is offered to more than 180 countries, within the framework of bilateral agreements, multilateral mechanisms and special agreements.

Through the granting of Scholarships of Excellence by the Government of Mexico for foreign students, Mexico strengthens its role as an actor with global responsibility and reaffirms its commitment to promoting cooperation actions to promote the formation of high-level human capital. The presence in Mexico of foreign students, academics and scientists, women and men, contributes to the construction of permanent and long-term bridges of dialogue that enrich the foreign policy agenda with actions of exceptional value for the country and for its foreign partners.  Likewise, higher education institutions and the Mexican academic community benefit from greater internationalization.

Eligibility Criteria:

For the Excellence Scholarships 2022, applicants should meet the following criteria:

• An international student passionate about advancing their educational career in Mexico.
• Have obtained relevant qualifications required for admission into an eligible course at a Mexican institution of higher learning.
• Willing to abide by the regulations governing the conduct of students at the Mexican institutions of higher learning.
• Demonstrate excellent academic and leadership abilities.

 Interested applicants for the Government of Mexico Excellence Scholarships 2022 are to complete all the required forms and submit same on or before the application deadline as late and incomplete submission will not be considered.
