The Institute of Economic Studies of Barcelona (IEB) is awarding two PhD scholarships for a period of three years (with the possibility of extending for one more year) for students who want to pursue a PhD in Economics at the University of Barcelona starting in the academic year 2023-2024. The selected candidate will receive guidance from IEB Research Program members in their research project and will also have teaching responsibilities for applied economics courses in the area of Public Economics at the undergraduate level within the Economics Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business (UB).

Scholarship Benefits:

The selected candidates will receive a yearly gross stipend of 17.220€, which comes with full social security benefits. Additionally, the scholarships will cover the PhD tuition fees and provide travel grants for conferences, enabling the students to participate in academic events and present their research. The scholarships are funded by the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB).
