Scholarship Coverage:

The Indonesian Government KNB Scholarships offer the following benefits to recipients:

Settlement Allowance: New students will receive IDR 1,250,000 upon their arrival in Indonesia.
Living Allowance: During the Indonesian language course and preparatory programs, new students will receive a monthly allowance of IDR 2,550,000.
Monthly Allowance (Master Program): KNB students in the Master Program will receive the following monthly allowances:
- Living Allowance: IDR 2,550,000
- Research Allowance: IDR 400,000
- Books Allowance: IDR 350,000
Health Insurance: A health insurance policy with a maximum monthly premium of IDR 200,000 will be provided. If the cost of medical services exceeds the coverage provided by the health insurance, the student is responsible for the additional expenses.
Round-trip Airfare: Recipients will receive round-trip international airfare (economy class) from their home countries’ international airport to Indonesia. Local transportation to the host university will also be covered.

Eligibility Criteria:

Required Languages: English

Undergraduate:

Maximum age is 25 years old.
Possess a High School degree (provide scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Note: Master degree holders are not eligible for the Master Degree scholarship.
English Proficiency Test Score: IBT TOEFL of 80, IELTS of 6.0, or TOEIC of 700.
Recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General.
Recommendation letter from the employer/immediate supervisor.
Academic Recommendation Letter from previous schools.
Proof of citizenship (Official Passport or Personal ID).
Complete the online application form.

Masters:

Maximum age is 35 years old.
Possess a bachelor’s degree (provide scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Note: Master degree holders are not eligible to apply.
English Proficiency Test Score: IBT TOEFL of 80, IELTS of 6.0, or TOEIC of 700 (within the last 2 years).
Recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General.
Recommendation letter from the employer/immediate supervisor.
Academic Recommendation Letter from previous schools.
Proof of citizenship (Official Passport or Personal ID).

Doctorate:

Maximum age to apply is 40 years old.
Hold a master’s degree (provide scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Note: Doctorate degree holders are not eligible to apply.
Recommendation letter from a potential research supervisor from one of the partner universities of the KNB Scholarship.
Statement of purpose explaining the purpose of studies, interests in studying in Indonesia, chosen research topic, and academic plans for the future.
English Proficiency Test Score: TOEFL IBT of 90, IELTS of 7.0, or equivalent (within the last 2 years).
