The Casement Fellowship in Human Rights 2026–27 is part of the Ireland Fellows Programme, fully funded by the Government of Ireland through the Department of Foreign Affairs. These programs are delivered by accredited Irish universities and usually span 10 to 16 months, starting in August or September 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Casement Fellowship 2026–27, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a Nigerian national and currently residing in Nigeria

• Have at least two years of relevant professional work experience

• Hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent), awarded no earlier than 2014

• Not hold a master’s degree or higher qualification

• Be applying for a new master’s programme beginning in August 2026

• Demonstrate:
