Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the 2025 Chinese Government Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality: Must be a non-Chinese citizen from a Belt and Road country.
• Educational Background:
  • Master’s Applicants: Hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
  • PhD Applicants: Hold a Master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
• Language Requirements:
  • IELTS: 6.0+ / TOEFL iBT: 80+
  • OR proof of English-taught degree or prior study in an English-speaking country.
• Academic Requirements: Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (80/100).
• No Other Scholarships: Cannot be receiving other scholarships concurrently.
