Eligible Nationalities:
Open to all international students, except those eligible for specific regional scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a new international student applying to Waikato for the first time

• Have a conditional or unconditional offer of place

• Hold a minimum GPA equivalent to B+ in previous qualifications

• Apply for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate (taught) program

• Submit the application before the trimester deadlines:

  • 30 November (A Trimester)

  • 30 April (B Trimester)

  • 31 August (C Trimester)

  • 31 October (H or X Trimester)

Not Eligible:

• Current Waikato students or applicants to limited-entry programs (e.g., Master of Nursing Practice)

• Students who have already paid tuition fees or applied for a visa

• Students enrolled through sponsorships, credit transfers, or exchange agreements
