The Thailand Government, through the Thailand International Postgraduate Program (TIPP), is offering fully funded master’s scholarships for the academic year 2023-2024 to international students. These scholarships provide coverage for various expenses, including living allowances, accommodation allowances, settlement money, books allowances, and thesis allowances.

The TIPP was established in 2000 to provide postgraduate scholarships to developing partners, with the belief that sharing knowledge is crucial for South-South Cooperation. It serves as a platform for Thailand and its partners to exchange experiences and best practices that contribute to long-term and sustainable development for all.

The TIPP scholarships and the training courses offered by the Asian Institute of Technology and Communication (AITC) focus on sharing Thailand’s expertise and experiences with the world. These topics are organized under five main themes: Climate Change, Food Security, Public Health, other topics related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the “Sufficiency Economy Philosophy” (SEP), which is a key development approach adopted by Thailand.

By conducting the Annual International Training Course and the Thailand International Postgraduate Program, the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) believes it is making a valuable contribution towards a sustainable future by sharing Thailand’s knowledge and expertise.

Scholarship Coverage:

• Return Economy Class Air Ticket and Airport Pickup Service
• Domestic Travel in Thailand
• Living Allowance: 7,000 Baht Per Month
• Accommodation Allowance: 7,000 Baht Per Month in the Regional Province or 9,000 Baht Per Month in Bangkok and Phuket
• Settlement Money: 6,000 Baht on their first arrival in Thailand
• Books Allowance: 10,000 Baht per year (Only 4 semesters for Master’s degree)
• Thesis Allowance: 20,000 Baht for compulsory fieldwork or data collection, and a lump sum amount of 12,000 Baht for thesis printing or 8,000 Baht for independent study (IS) printing
• Tuition Fee: Awardees’ tuition fee will be directly reimbursed from TICA, except for equipment insurance fee, transcript, and certificate fee

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for Thailand Government Scholarships, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Required Language: Good command of English. Candidates whose first language is not English and whose Bachelor’s degree was not taught in English need to pass an English language proficiency test as per the criteria set by the university regulations.
• Eligible Countries: Candidates must be nominated by the National Focal Point for International Development Cooperation in a country from the list of TIPP eligible countries/territories. (Please refer to the “List of Eligible Countries” for details.)
• Educational Background: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and/or possess professional experience in a field related to the graduate degree they are applying for.
• Relevant Work Experience: Candidates should be currently employed or working in an area that is related to the course they intend to pursue.
• Age Limit: Candidates should be below 50 years of age.
• Physical and Mental Condition: Candidates must be in good physical and mental health.
• Compliance with Rules and Regulations: TICA reserves the right to revoke scholarships offered to awardees who violate rules and regulations.
• Additional requirements beyond these will be considered based on the university regulations.

How to Apply:

To apply for Thailand Government Scholarships, please follow these application instructions:

1. Fill in the online application form available on the TICA website.
2. Candidates must be nominated by the National Focal Point for International Development Cooperation, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or relevant central government agencies in their respective countries/territories. The nomination should comply with the rules and regulations set by the nominating countries/territories. The National Focal Point will forward the nominated candidates’ documents to the Royal Thai Embassy/Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations/Royal Thai Consulate-General accredited to eligible countries/territories.
3. Prepare the following documents:
   • TIPP application form (Download from the provided link)
   • Medical report
   • Transcript of Bachelor’s degree to demonstrate the courses completed during the Bachelor’s degree program
   • Certificate of Bachelor’s degree
   • English test score (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS)
   • Recommendation Letters (Minimum of 3)
   • Thesis proposal or any other documents required by the university All forms must be completed and endorsed by the candidates’ supervisor and the National Focal Point for International Development Cooperation. All related documents must be in English. Each eligible country/territory can nominate up to five (5) candidates per academic program.
4. The application procedure will be considered complete once TICA receives the hard copy of the application form and other relevant documents through the Royal Thai Embassy/Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations/Royal Thai Consulate-General accredited to eligible countries/territories.
