The MTN Foundation (MTNF) is currently accepting applications for its annual scholarships, which are granted to students pursuing higher education in Nigeria. The scholarships available for the year 2023 include the MTN Foundation Science and Technology scholarship (STS) and the Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS). Interested candidates who meet the necessary qualifications are encouraged to apply.

The MTN Foundation Science and Technology scholarship (STS) has been the organization’s flagship program since 2010. It is open to students studying Science and Technology-related courses at the 300 level in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions, such as Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education. A total of 300 deserving students will be selected as scholarship recipients. These students will receive an annual scholarship worth N200,000.00 until they graduate, provided they maintain the required academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria for MTN Foundation Scholarships 2023 as following:

Institution of Study:

MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) and MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) are open to Nigerian students enrolled in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).

Course of Study:

MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is available for 300 level students studying Science & Technology-related courses in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to 200 & 300 level blind students studying any course in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).

Level of Study:

MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is open to students who have completed their second-semester 200 level examinations and are progressing to 300 level, as well as students currently in their 300 level.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to 200 & 300 level blind students enrolled in any Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).

Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA):

Applicants for STS must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5, depending on their current program.
Applicants for SBS must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 or 2.5, also depending on their programs.
