The NIAS – NIOD – KITLV Fellowship 2025-2026: Moving Objects, Mobilising Culture offers researchers from formerly colonised countries the opportunity to study and engage with colonial-era collections housed in the Netherlands. This fully funded five-month fellowship provides access to museum collections, archives, and expert support, enabling fellows to explore the histories, significance, and restitution possibilities of cultural objects. Hosted by NIAS, with support from NIOD and KITLV, the fellowship encourages innovative research beyond institutional narratives. Travel costs within the Netherlands are covered.
