No. Students apply for undergraduate admission to Duke and request financial aid during the admission process.

What does the Karsh Scholarship cover?

It can cover full tuition, room and board, mandatory university fees, additional demonstrated financial need, and funding for three summers of research, unpaid internships, or other academic and professional opportunities.

Is SAT or ACT required?

No. Duke is test-optional for the 2026–2027 admission cycle.

What are the application deadlines?

For Early Decision, the Duke application deadline is November 2, 2026, followed by a November 3, 2026 financial-aid deadline. For Regular Decision, the dates are January 4, 2027 and February 1, 2027 respectively.
