Yes. A confirmed research host at the University of Bayreuth is mandatory, and you must include their invitation or confirmation with your application.

Can the €10,000 grant be used for travel, research materials, and project expenses?

The grant is intended for approved research-related expenses. Applicants should follow the official funding guidelines regarding eligible costs.

Is there an age limit for applying to the Starter Grants?

No. The program does not specify an age limit. Selection is based on academic qualifications, research quality, and collaboration potential.

What increases my chances of receiving the €20,000 Booster Grant?

Researchers who produce strong outcomes—such as joint publications, successful workshops, conference presentations, or ongoing collaborative projects with the University of Bayreuth—will be in a stronger position to apply for the Booster Grant.
